This morning, while praying for my family, friends and then our business the Lord spoke to me through Judges 2:6
I was praying about our family members and friends who have had trouble in their lives and seem to need a form of deliverance and breakthrough. Sometimes it seems so long that these individuals fight the same fights or have the glimpse of the promise and stand at the outskirts looking into their inheritance. For too long, some years, some months, no matter how long it’s been it’s now time to break into that inheritance!
Wow, hear me, this is not me speaking, I truly believe, my family and I have lived in the breakthrough for some months now, this word was not for me, it’s for someone out there who has been yearning, aching, seeking. Feeling an empty pit where God has promised His deliverance, feeling nothing where God promised life eternal, but also life in abundance in this world.
God said this morning, “When Joshua dismissed the people, the people of Israel went each to his inheritance to take possession of the land.” Judges 2:6
Ok, what does that mean to us, the interpretation I took it to mean immediately, a knowing from the Lord was:
Joshua, who was the one who took the Israelites from the desert into the promised land, he was in effect a form of delivery assistant. When he, their delivery assistant was done with them, he dismissed them, that is when they were free to take possession of their promised land.
God wants us to take possession now, now is the time to stop looking for our delivery method, assistant and moment and start to look and take note of the key moments where He is giving us directly into the hands of our destiny, we need to take possession. When He says here you are, take this position of prominence you never expected or asked for, will you shy away and say, “No, Lord, I’m not ready, qualified, prepared for this now?” or will you be like Mary the Lord’s mother, and say, “May it be done to me as you have said.”? Luke 1:38
The Lord knows the best time, the Lord planned from the beginning of time that you would come to the end of needing deliverance and meet the cross roads of your inheritance. The question is, child of God, what will you do with it. Will you tell the Lord He’s chosen the wrong person at the wrong time or will you submit, take with 2 hands all He is giving you, knowing what the Lord gives He adds no sorrow. Prov 10:22
