shrink back or stagnate…
Hello and welcome!
Having just finished my favourite time of year (we start celebrating Christmas around June in our home) as we get ever more excited for the coming birth celebration of our King!
Next to that I love new beginnings and every new year, well… opportunities abound! Ever excited for this reason to write, (if you read my previous post you will know why the long absence in writing) we are expecting 2021 or are we anticipating 2021…
I wait expectantly for it, but, I have that tiny anticipation too of what to expect and what we may see in 2021, which we may be anticipating in the negative as the continuation of the devastation of 2020. My sincerest condolences to all who have lost friends and family in this time. The world is navigating uncharted waters at present. Ever-more need of our ever-present anchor, the Lord Jesus Christ. May His grace and peace abound to you.
Every year I ask the Lord for a picture of the year to come, for us as a family and for this blog to draw people in with Him as their guide. On December 31st, 2019 expecting 2020, the Lord gave me this picture and inscription.
As I have been waiting on the Lord for this year, I have felt a continuation of the theme, I have felt Him say to me, “Asnee, this year is a year of choosing. You can stand back and accept or you can stand up and move into my invitation to you. My invitation is my ever-present outstretched hand. Will you put your hand in mine, child-like?”
“Your choice is your reaction to my invitation. You can either extend your hand, accept the invitation and walk hand in hand on the water, focusing on me, or, you can hesitate or decline the invitation altogether. The picture, plan and God-given purpose and mandate for your life hangs in the balance. Will it be easy, no, change is never easy, will it be tough, exceptionally, but pressing into a new mould, a new you, a new power and authority in heaven, never will be or could be. Remember, Paul took some years off to learn and transform his thinking from old testament to new, John the Baptist had to remove himself into the wilderness to keep his focus sharp and on point as he was the only one who would know the coming Messiah. Jesus fasted for 40days and nights.”
“You may choose, I will never force you, but in 2021 would you like to stagnate, would you like to shrink back in fear or would you trust me for you and I to walk on water, together and conquer the giants that lie in wait for you. By the way the giants are there either way, whether you accept the invitation, shrink back or stagnate, they will be there to meet you, it’s not a question of if you will meet them… merely… how… you will meet them.”
“So, in 2021 will you transition with me, hand in hand… come what may?”
