Praying Proverbs over Protegé’s 2

Proverbs 2New International Version

Moral Benefits of Wisdom

Father God, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, may we, my husband and I and our 2 children please accept Your words for the wisdom they are:

(May we) My son, if you accept my words
and store up my commands within you,
(May we)turning your ear to wisdom
and applying your heart to understanding—
(May we) indeed, if you call out for insight
    and cry aloud for understanding,
and if you look for it as for silver
and search for it as for hidden treasure,
then you will understand the fear of the Lord
and find the knowledge of God.
(Thank You for this promise, may we cling to it forever) For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
He holds success in store for the upright,
he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless,
for he guards the course of the just
and protects the way of his faithful ones.

(May we) Then you will understand what is right and just
    and fair—every good path.
10(May) For wisdom will enter your heart,
and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.
11(May) Discretion will protect you,
    and understanding will guard you.

12(May) Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men,
from men whose words are perverse,
13 who have left the straight paths
to walk in dark ways, (protect us and our kids from these, Oh Lord)
14 who delight in doing wrong
and rejoice in the perverseness of evil,
15 whose paths are crooked
and who are devious in their ways.

16 (Please God, may) Wisdom will save you also from the adulterous woman,
from the wayward woman with her seductive words,
17 who has left the partner of her youth
and ignored the covenant she made before God.[a]
18 Surely her house leads down to death
and her paths to the spirits of the dead.
19 None who go to her return
or attain the paths of life.

20 (Help us, Oh God, how will we do it without You, leading and guiding us)Thus you will walk in the ways of the good
and keep to the paths of the righteous.
21 (May we be the upright and blameless) For the upright will live in the land,
    and the blameless will remain in it;
22 (Keep us Oh God from becoming the wicked or unfaithful) but the wicked will be cut off from the land,
and the unfaithful will be torn from it.

Oh God help us, in this time where deception is so great, wicked lie in the paths of our children and wait for them, setting traps all the way along the paths, please God help us, where our children no longer speak to us or where the sights and sounds of the world seem enticing, call them in the inner most parts of the being, where You knit them together, please God, call and woe them to Your inner courts once again and have them dance with You in the secret place Oh Lord that they would know intimacy with their maker as their sole goal in life.

Thank You Jesus, there can be nothing sweeter, help us as parents to lead them, help us to be good to them, that they would know we are here for them, that they would know we are safe for them to run to as Your own arms are safe for us to run to… please God, help us
